This 85mm f/1.4 still looks/functions fresh. No scratches/marks anywhere on the body or glass. The focus rings on these older AI-S bodies rotates a lot smoother than a lot of newer Nikon lenses. The aperture ring clicks securely into each position. With a metal body, this thing is heavy and developed like a tank.
It'll mount up to most modern-day Nikon DSLRs, but bear in mind that you'll be setting the exposure/aperture settings manually, in addition to concentrating by hand. Image quality is excellent. I've shot mainly broad open at f/1.4 with this fella, and the images are crisp.
Consists of the initial metal lens hood and rear cap, in addition to a safety sleeve. I've constantly kept a Hoya HMC filter screwed on to keep the glass pristine.
