SOFTWARE ENGINEER(s)

Software Defined Network (SDN)  Multiple Positions & Levels (Raleigh / Durham, NC area)
SUMMARY
If you have a passion for learning new technologies and being a part of a team that is building something revolutionary in the industry, then please consider the role of Software Engineer SDN. This position is a key contributor for the engineering of network virtualization and orchestration for the SDN controller product line.
 
Be a key hands-on contributor and drive development on state of the art SDN technology? 
Participate in system-wide architecture definition to ensure consistency across all components.
Work closely with customers and product management to refine product and feature definition. 
Work with a small team to develop quick prototypes and demonstrate proof of concept. 
Scalable and highly available products to market in a timely manner.
 
EXPERIENCE:
Basic networking domain knowledge (Ethernet, IP, and/or MPLS ).
Are you a seasoned developer with practical experience that dealt with distributed, scalable, and highly available system design concepts.
Have you worked with Data Modeling and Data-Driven system design concepts
 
Extra Considerations:
Familiarity with Open Flow and the SDN concept is a great asset to have.  Experience with compute and network virtualization concepts at the data-center level is desirable. 
Any experience with Web technologies including web server back-end frameworks as well as front-end coding (javascript, css, less, typescript, etc) and javascript frameworks (jquery, extjs, d3js, or similar) is a bonus to your application. 
Exposure to db technologies like Cassandra, MongoDB, CouchDB, Riak, or similar would be a good asset to have.  Awareness of distributed coordination systems, such as Apache Zookeeper would be good.  And knowledge of distributed messaging frameworks like ZeroMQ, AMQP, RabbitMQ, etc.. would help your cause. 
But not least it would be great if you have 5 or more years of production level experience with Python.
Education: At least MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or higher from an accredited university.
