Company Overview:
Our company has been owned and operated by the same family since 1974.  We are an industry leader and have an immediate opening for an outside sales rep. with experience in heavy equipment sales preferably in the forestry or heavy construction equipment industry.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the profitable sales of Bandit horizontal grinders and forestry mowers in an assigned territory in Eastern, North Carolina. Equipment ranges in size from 150 HP to 1,000+HP.  Work in tandem with support personnel on equipment demonstrations in the field; cold calls; servicing existing customers and generating sales to new customers
Markets:
Right-of-way, land clearing, landfills, pallet, mulch yards, recycling industries,
Demolition, state, county and federal government, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably with heavy equipment in the forestry, logging or construction industry
Must be driven and self-motivated
Strong closer
 
Other requirements:
Clear 3-year driving record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Above average computer skills
Experience with customer database, ACT! or similar program helpful
Overnight travel required
Mechanically inclined
